WHAT IS MOISSANITE?
Moissanite is a naturally occurring gemstone, although most Moissanite nowadays is lab-created. Moissanite is made of silicon-carbide and falls at a 9.25 on the Moh's Hardness Scale, making it a great gemstone for everyday wear as it is strong, durable and can last a lifetime with care.
COLOR
Similar to Diamonds, Moissanites also come in a variety of colors ranging from completely Colorless to Light Yellow.
CLARITY
Similar to Diamonds, Moissanites can also have inclusions occur during the growing process. Since all Moissanite today is grown in a lab, it is easy to control the amount of Moissanites that leave the lab with inclusions, which is why most Moissanites today are the equivalent to a Diamond VS1 in clarity. Inclusions can only be seen under 10x magnification.
CUT
The cut of your gemstone greatly affects the appearance and brilliance. Similar to Diamonds, Moissanites are cut in a specific way to maximize their brilliance. When referring to cut, it is not referring to shape but rather the symmetry and proportioning of the Moissanite. All of our Moissanites are Ideal Cut.
